I read the shooting draft for this film last year. I give it a B-. It was all right, right up until the last third of the movie where it just became preposterous. But then again, this is a Roland Emmerich film. Hopefully, John Cusack and Chiwetel Ejiofor will save this movie from all the crazy CGI. A definite popcorn movie.

The day after tomorrow cast a sort of empty, lifeless sensation over me. It wasn’t great story-telling, granted the only driving factor was a fear that only the film’s characters felt.

As far as War of the Worlds goes, the same as the day the earth stood still, sometimes great stories should be left untampered. That declaration will probably be void, seeing how 2009 and 2010 seem to be the rehash years. Even the great Ridley Scott seems to be traveling back in time with Robin Hood, and some sort of prequel to Alien. I’ve seen alien, I’ve seen Robin Hood. Show me something else.
