Here is a look at a potentially very interesting movie that is making rounds on the festival scene and stars Adrian Brody and Sarah Polley. It is called “Splice” and looks just a little disturbing. The premise? Two scientist, despite legal and ethical boundaries, successfully splice animal and human DNA together into something that looks like it has a butt for a head. (Actually it becomes a Chimera like creature.) The result is, of course, a disaster as this mysterious creature named “Dren” turns deadly. It is to be released in February in Europe and hopefully will pick up some screenings here as well.

I really like the design, but I hate the leg anatomy, they put the thumb of the foot on the pad of the foot. I know this is supposed to be like this, but it doesn’t look very adaptable.
Yea, in the movie it didn’t look very strong to have the thumb on the foot, but overall it was a pretty successful design. It was done convinvingly. Thanks for visiting and commenting!
