If you had any misgivings about the new Star Wars movies you can relax a bit. The internet is all buzzing with news that J.J. Abrams will direct the new Star Wars movies. Say what you like about him this is right up his alley and should be good. Just look for his Star Wars/Star Trek crossover in a few years.

This is absolutely what needed to happen for Disney to re-launch a great franchise, without losing it’s existing fan base. JJ Abrams is the first name on a short list of directors that I trust to do this.

at least he cant butcher it any worse then Lucas did with the last three movies..and with Aniken dead there wont be half of a movie taken up by his whining about how unfair life is. while Natalie portman is waiting to be taken to bed.
Yeah it certainly can’t be worse then the Episodes. And after the way Disney handled The Avengers and Marvel Movies they have earned my trust on big franchises. With Whedon’s background with Firefly he would be a great choice as well.
Very true, I have to say they did a great job on those, and even with the few things I took issue with on the avengers,, minor stuff really. Whedon would be a great choice
