In case you missed The Hobbit in Hall H this year, Peter Jackson’s VLOG takes you behind the stage. I can say that after seeing 12 minutes from the movie, I was speechless!

Since Cate Blanchett has announced she will be appearing in the new two-part movie The Hobbit it has led to much speculation about what other LOTR characters, who are not in The Hobbit book, will appear in the movie. It has now been announced that Orlando Blooms’ Legolas will be featured in the film in some way, shape or form.
So the question is, should there be a purist revolt against this or does it make sense to tie the trilogy and The Hobbit a little more closely? It’s not a far fetch for these two, since the characters in The Hobbit encounter the Elves quite a bit, including Legolas’ faction. However, if you are going to follow that train of thought you might as well put Gimli back in as well, since the Dwarves play a huge role in The Hobbit as well. As a big Tolkien fan, I don’t necessarily have a problem with this, as long as they don’t change too much of the plot and as long as Orlando Bloom has some decent lines for a change.
