Shrek Forever wins a lackluster weekend

Shrek is forever, at least for now. It’s another example of how a kids vehicle can drive profits and maintain box office superiority. However, Shrek will surely meet its match when Pixar’s Toy Story 3 is released (June 18th) for the hordes of kids to consume all summer long. New releases Get into the Greek and Killers do modestly well. BabbleOn watched Splice and while fairly interesting, finished in 8th place with just over $7 million. It will be very interesting to see what happens next week when 80’s favorites, the A-Team and The Karate Kid opens.
