I will NOT see this movie..

Born to rob your wallet?

Bucky Larson, Born to be a Star? More like born to kill your brain cells. Seriously, I watched the trailer and already want those 30 seconds of life back. Nick Swardson has fallen in league with Adam Sandler and his crew. Good for Nick, bad for us.  Sandler has a contract with Sony that gives them first rights to anything he pitches and it looks like they swung hard on this one. It was directed by Tom Brady and from the looks of it, the football player Tom Brady could have done a better job. There is just nothing redeeming about this movie, and yet, people are getting paid to make it. If you really want to watch the trailer, here it is.

Nick Swardson plays Bucky  Larson, a buck-toothed goober who finds out his parents were both porn stars. With this in mind he decides he was destined to be a star himself and sets off to LA to make something (other than a fool) or himself.  Of course, as fate would have it, he gets the last laugh and does become a porn star. I say he gets the last laugh because I am pretty sure we won’t. I will not see this movie.

Seriously, not even for free.

If God came down from heaven and said, “Jeff, I will end world hunger and all you have to do is go see Bucky Larson.” Sorry, kids all over the world, you will just have to starve.

If Minka Kelly said, “Jeff, I will leave Derek Jeter and marry you and we can spend all of our days making mad love but our first date has to be Bucky Larson.” I still wouldn’t do…ergh..yeah, okay, I totally would then. But that’s level of impossibility it would take to get me to see it.

I will see this movie: 50/50. Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anna Kendrick, Seth Rogen, Bryce Dallas Howard and Anjelica Huston. A pretty solid cast by all means. I’m  not a huge Rogen fan, but as long as he isn’t the center of attention, he can be fine. I am, however, a big Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the guy makes good movies, and this one LOOKS to be no exception.  He plays a young guy diagnosed with a tumor and given 50/50 odds on living. Not a lot out on it yet, but I plan on watching it.

See ya next post dear Babblers.
