SDCC is far from lacking in zombie themed events, and coupled with the zombie awareness increase caused by the recent “zombie scare” in Miami, the undead presence will be everywhere this year. We know that hordes of zombie lovers will be at The Walking Dead panel, but not everyone can camp out by Hall H on Friday morning. If you actually want a chance to get into a zombie-themed panel, or maybe you’d like a zombie discussion that’s based more on fact than fiction, be sure to check out Broadcast Thought‘s SDCC presentation, Zombies, Vampires, and Werewolves on Trial: The Forensic Psychiatry of the Dead, the Undead, and the Unlucky.
The doctors of Broadcast Thought, H. Eric Bender, M.D., Praveen R. Kambam, M.D., and Vasilis K. Pozios M.D., will ” determine whether these monsters are actually competent to stand trial for their killings or even not guilty by reason of insanity. The doctors offer fascinating real life medical and mental health takes on the lore of these flesh-eaters, blood suckers, and wild beasts.” Specializing in forensic, child and adolescent, and adult psychiatry, the physicians of Broadcast are avid fans of film and pop culture, providing expert consultation to the media and entertainment industry to provide “Accuracy in Entertainment and Entertainment in Accuracy.” The panel will be held on July 12, 2012 from 8pm-9:30pm in Room 7AB.
