Nerds! Geeks! Other people! Babbleon5.wordpress.com has become…. BabbleOn5.com! Well…. technically we already were, but we were just forwarding the site from babbleon5.wordpress.com because free and stuff. But it’s time we started kicking things in to overdrive here, so we’ve overhauled the site. We made it pretty. Look at how pretty it is.
I made it myself.
So, if you’re like me, and like pretty things, make sure you reset any saved links you might have had if they need resetting! See you on the other site!
We’re just over a month away from the launch of The Force Awakens, and we couldn’t be more excited! Or, at least, we thought we couldn’t! A new trailer for the upcoming film has debuted in Japan, and it has revealed some interesting new scenes, and even more interesting sound clips!
Take a look and let us know what you think in the comments!
Look, we all know that video game movies generally leave something (or a few things) to be desired. But we here at BabbleOn5 think that they’re just an Iron Man (2008) away from taking off as Hollywood’s next big genre film.
Hopefully leading that charge is 2016’s Assassin’s Creed, starring X-Men actor Michael Fassbender. The dude killed it as a younger Magneto, and he’s proven time and time again that he is quite the talented actor.
Michael Fassbender as Callum Lynch’s ancestor Aguilar. He certainly looks the part.
Assassin’s Creed has developed in to one of gamings top franchises over the years, creating some pretty fascinating characters along the way. However, Fassbender won’t be playing any of them. Instead, he’ll be playing an original character for the movies: Callum Lynch (doesn’t sound anywhere near as cool as Assassin’s Creed II’s Ezio Auditore).
Yahoo has a bit more on the subject, “Fassbender’s character was created specifically for the film. (The movie isn’t retelling any of the existing games, but rather introducing new characters into the same world.) Lynch discovers he is a descendant of the secret Assassins society through unlocked genetic memories that allow him to relive the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. After gaining incredible knowledge and skills he’s poised to take on the oppressive Knights Templar in the present day.”
Yahoo also noted that filming begins this coming Monday at locations that include: Malta, London, and Spain. Assassin’s Creed also stars Marion Cotillard, Michael Kenneth Williams, Ariane Labed, and is directed by Justin Kurzel. The film will hit theaters on December 21st, 2016.
Okay, so this is pretty friggin’ awesome, right!? Japan’s All Nipon Air (ANA) recently revealed not one, but THREE new designs that will be in the air as soon as October! Just in time for Episode VII.
But if you think ANA settled for a simple paint job, think again. Each aircraft is going to feature various Star Wars amenities, such as themed headrests, all six movies being on-demand, as well as Star Wars decor.
Take a look at two of the designs below, one BB-8 (the new ball-droid from Episode VII) and one R2-D2 themed plane.
I mean, look at them!
The first jet takes off on international routes starting October 18th. All three jets will eventually fly internationally to cities like Vancouver, San Jose, Munich, Paris, Sydney, Beijing, Jakarta, and Brussels, as well as domestically within Japan. In November, the Star Wars themed jet will begin with domestic routes, with the BB-8 jet getting in to the international fold in March 2016.
Here’s a link to the ANA Star Wars themed website, just in case you’d like some more information! Be sure the check out the video below of all of the planes “in action!”
No need for pleasantries on this one, kiddies. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Hot on the heels of finding out that Deadpool is in fact the cause of Spider-Man’s greatest foe, Venom (check below for Venom’s super Secret origin story), Fox decided to release the teaser for tomorrow’s official trailer for the upcoming Deadpool film.
You can check out the totally f***ing awesome teaser right here. But be sure to clench your sphincters!
In other Deadpool news, Wade Wilson himself (actor Ryan Reynolds) is pushing hard for the Merc with the Mouth to pair up with Wolverine in an upcoming film. Sounds good to this nerd!

Here it is! And man, this movie looks awesome! Daniel Craig is back in his fourth (maybe final?) Bond film, and he’s starring along side one of my absolute favorite bad guy actors, Christoph Waltz! But enough talk! Here’s the trailer!

The rumor mill is in full force here at BabbleOn5!
Kit Harington has been spotted at one of the filming locations for Game of Thrones Season 6! …or has he? I guess we’ll leave it up to you! Take a look at some of the pictures snapped recently in Belfast.
One from behind, too.
This is, of course, after the very Sasquatch-esque photo that was posted earlier this week on Twitter by @sianram_
Harington also seems to be sporting some longer hair, growing it back out after trimming it back in January, which could confirm his return to the role as well!
Now, Kit could simply be back to film a funeral scene. But where’s the fun in that? Besides, when taking in to consideration the OTHER unconfirmed information about a flashback scene starting Season 6, he’s GOT to be alive, right? Right? Or do we all truly know nothing?
Global News is reporting that the official working title for the follow up to 2013’s giant monster movie, Pacific Rim, is “Maelstrom.”
“Maelstrom” is set to start filming in Toronto at Pinewood Toronto Studios in November, with filming expected to continue “well in to 2016.” And, yes, director Guillermo Del Toro is back to helm the sequel. The new film is set to take place a couple of years after the events of Pacific Rim, and will focus on the kaiju (the giant monsters that Earth’s mightiest pilots were defending against). Not much else is currently known.
After an initial delay, “Maelstrom” is slated for a August 4th, 2017 release.
If you’re a gamer and you like super heroes, you’ve probably heard of the Batman Arkham games. Developer Rockseady put together a trilogy of Batman games that have redefined what the genre can be. They’ve proven that not every super hero game needs to be Superman 64. However, WB Montreal, the team behind what many consider to be the odd duck in the series of Arkham games, Arkham Origins, might be taking on the Man of Steel to hopefully bring some much needed quality to Superman’s virtual library.
The news breaks out of an experience update on career site LinkedIn. Until recently, freelance animator Kieran Turan had a suspicious listing on his account. “Troubleshooting and repair of the 3D facial rig for the upcoming “Superman” videogame title for GameOn Audio.” The listing under his “Experience” section has since been taken down, but Z-Giochi was able to snag a screen grab. Proving, once again, nothing is ever gone from the internet. Turan has worked on many 3D facial rigs for GameOn Audio in the past, including WB Montreal’s Batman Arkham Origins, a company that has been rumored for a while now to be working on a Superman game.
Although nothing is confirmed, it’s looking more and more like fans of the Big Blue Boy Scout might be getting another opportunity to take control of the last son of Krypton. And here’s hoping it’s set in the Arkham Universe!
If you’re like us here at BabbleOn5, you’re kind of a big fan of CW’s The Flash. Unlike previous super hero based shows, The Flash didn’t hold anything back. Time travel, Gorilla Grodd, gold guns, and parallel universes were all on the table. Add in some stellar writing, great casting, very good visual effects, and you’ve got a show that many would consider the best super hero show on network television. So it comes as no surprise that season 2 has fans the world over very excited.
Plenty of information about Season 2 had already been revealed after last weeks San Diego Comic Con Hall H panel. But, until today, we haven’t been able to see Barry Allen in his brand new super-suit. Well, at least not the present day version of Barry. That’s right, it looks like the suit that future-Barry was wearing throughout the first season is going to be the standard costume that present day-Barry will be donning this season! The suit, which is more reminiscent of the costume worn in the comics, features a white emblem on Allen’s chest. And, boy, does it look good.
